Abstract:
Though some improvements have been registered as a result of economic and political reforms, the performance of private sector has remained very low thus far. This study was conducted with the main objective of analyzing factors that determine private investment in Ethiopia. A 38-years secondary data (from 1980 to 2017) was collected from various national sources and for qualitative factors that cannot be captured in secondary data information is gathered from seventy manufacturing firms.

Abstract:

Abstract:
The growing need and fast development of technology in the era of globalization, free markets, and more fierce competition made the company produce products to satisfy the diverse needs of customers, particularly within the smartphone industries. The major objective of this study was to assess factors affecting consumers' purchase intention of smartphones; a case of Hawassa city. A structured schedule that has three sections was used to collect the primary data.

Determinants of Inflation in Ethiopia

Abstract:
Inflation, one of the basic indicators of macroeconomic stability, affects many other macroeconomic variables and it weakens the economy if it goes beyond a specified threshold level. The main objective of the study is finding out the determinants of inflation in Ethiopia. The paper uses secondary data collected from National Bank of Ethiopia and other sources. The ARDL model to co integration has been used to find out the short run and long run determinants of inflation. Findings showed that in the long run oil price, government expenditure and Broad money supply affect inflation positively at 5%, 1% and 1% respectively.

Analyzing Poverty Status of Bamboo Producing Smallholders in North-West Ethiopia

Abstract:
Exploring and understanding the multiple purpose of bamboo to enhancing and sustaining the livelihood of smallholders to alleviate multidimensional poverty are crucial. To conduct this study, 486 smallholders have been administering, from both Amhara and Benshangulgumuze regions. The data was collected through semi-structured questionnaire and analyzed in both descriptive and econometrically via statasoftware.

Abstract:
Low available phosphorus, total nitrogen, lack of adequate information on the use of Rhizobium inoculants and NPS fertilizer are the major yield limiting factors for common bean production in the study area. Thus, the experiment was conducted at Mekdela District in 2019 (July-October), to evaluate the effect of Blended NPS fertilizer rates and Rhizobium inoculation on the yield components and yield of common bean varieties.

The general objective of the study was to measure technical efficiency level of smallholder honey producers and to identify the factors influencing their level of technical efficiency on honey production in Bibugn District of Amhara Regional state. Stochastic production frontier approach was employed to estimate a Cobb- Douglas production function and to determine the level of technical efficiency.
